Our Work
Our Programs
Our work is to create a more robust regional food system—one that connects and supports those who grow, make, and eat food close to home. Whether you're a farmer, a food business, or someone who just loves fresh, local ingredients, there's a place for you in this work. Let’s transform what it means to source and eat local.
We Fund Your Vision
Our fund provides mission-specific loans to businesses committed to a stronger, more resilient food system. We invest in efforts to increase availability of nutrient-dense food in our region, improve affordability and availability of local food, and improve the capacity of small farmers and food producers to expand their business and increase their profits. Funding sustainable and regenerative practices that care for land, water, and energy contribute to the overall resilience of our community.
We Are Your Value Chain Coordinators
Sourcing from local growers and producers makes your business a powerful economic driver. Fresher, more flavorful and nutritious ingredients for your customers supports your community, and builds resilience into your supply chain. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach — we help you find what works for your goals. A resilient regional food system starts with your business.
We Connect You
When we buy locally produced food, our dollars stay in our community. This strengthens our regional economy and creates a healthier future. Over time, it can ensure a steady supply of fresh, nourishing food for everyone, keep farmers markets thriving, protect valuable farmland, and promote the regenerative farming practices that respect the earth and preserve natural resources. In aggregate, our choices power real change — from the ground up.
Healthy, Home-Grown Kids
We partner with schools and educators to implement hands-on programs that connect students to food system concepts. Cafeteria composting initiatives, school greenhouses and gardens, farm-to-school ingredients – our team is committed to student, staff and school resilience through experiences that demonstrate the power of local food for positive change in personal, community, economic and climate health. The next generation will not only have real-world skills and hope for healthier people and plant.
