Hannah Harris
Program Coordinator
Employment Background:
After college, I designed and facilitated outdoor education programs on 600 beautiful acres of forest in central New Hampshire, focusing on youth leadership development, climate literacy, and risk management. My background also includes monitoring corporate financial compliance and instructing at Steiner and International Baccalaureate schools. I’ve lead trips and taught internationally in Nova Scotia, New Zealand, Luxembourg, and South Africa. Before joining Future Roots as an intern in 2021, I coordinated the youth program at Wood River Community YMCA. My breadth of experience has revolved around cultivating communities that spark joy and steward the Earth for future generations. It’s an honor to be a part of this team and grow alongside this organization.
Educational Background:
I graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and have BAs in both Economics and Global Human Rights & Justice, with a minor in French. My research focused on the long-term macroeconomic benefits of primary healthcare access in refugee communities.
More about me:
My reverence for wild spaces and local food began growing up in a small rural town on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. While my roots will always be on the East Coast, I am grateful to now call the Wood River Valley home.
