A Community Nourished and Sustained by Local Food

As we shared in a recent blog, more than 450 community members gathered at Root Sellers to celebrate local food at The Sage School in November. Over 10,000 pounds of locally produced food was purchased and the event injected $35,000 of economic activity into our community. More than that, it demonstrate the growing demand for regionally produced food.

The short video below captures the spirit of a thriving regional food system coming to life in our community!

Future Roots connects farmers directly with chefs, schools, and shoppers, puts patient, flexible capital in the hands of food producers and small businesses, builds connections across the food supply chain, creates events and educational tools that make eating local easy and joyful, and inspires better meals and reduce food waste in school cafeterias.

Root Sellers is a tangible and joyful sign that this work is having a positive impact.

Your gifts this holiday season keeps the momentum going and makes a vibrant, resilient regional food system possible!
