Trailing of the Sheep is upon us. The list of events at this year’s festival is amazing. With so much to choose from, there's no way to do it all. So we started wondering: what would the ultimate Trailing of the Sheep weekend look like for a local food and fiber lover? Cooking Classes
Chef Sydney Liepshutz of In the Kitchen with Sydney’s cooking class for Szechuan Cumin Lamb Filled Potstickers featuring lamb from 4L Farms on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 2:30-4 pm.
Chef Mary Claire Griffin’s cooking class for Tunisian Spiced Lamb Rack with Lebanese Fattosh Salad featuring lamb from Boise River Lamb on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 3-4 pm.
Eat More Lamb
Take a tour of Ketchum restaurants at For the Love of Lamb on Friday October 9 at 4:30 pm with stops at Locally Grown Guide listed businesses: Fiamma, Ketchum Grill, Limelight Hotel, Rasberrys, Salted Sprig, and Village Market and LGG sponsor Sun Valley Culinary Institute.
Stop by Better Ask Brenda and Sawtooth Brewery’s Lamb Fest booths before perusing the artisans booths at the Folk Life Fair on Saturday, October 10 in Roberta McKercher Park in Hailey from 11am - 4pm.

Test your lamb knowledge and share a meal at Sun Valley Culinary Institute’s Lamb-themed trivia on October 8th at 6pm.
Dive into the fiber arts with the needle-felted snowman, snowman globe or Christmas tree ornament class on Thursday, October 8 from 1:30 – 4:30pm.
Learn fiber prep basics with Sylvia Smith on Saturday, October 10 from 1:30 - 4:30pm
And, of course, the top it all off with the Big Sheep Parade on Main St. In Ketchum at 12:00pm on Sunday, October 11.
