Abbigail Rummel

Development & Partnership Manager

Employment Background:
I’m a nonprofit professional with 10 years experience in the Wood River Valley, focused on fundraising, community partnerships and meaningful events that connect people to purpose. I’m passionate about strengthening our community connections and creating work that had a lasting impact.

Educational Background:
Studied at Limestone College in South Carolina with a degree in Social Work and minored in Physical Education/Teacher Education and playing NCAA D2 field hockey. I am currently furthering my education at WGU in Accounting.

More about me:
My passion for local healthy food and nutrition began when my boys ages 9 & 13 both struggled with health issues from eczema to sleep when they were little. Through local, healing foods and information in our community, they both overcame issues we were told we couldn’t. Now farmers markets are the highlight of our week and local food fuels my sons to be the outstanding and successful athletes they are today. We love traveling to tropical places and experiencing their farmers markets with exotic fruits and nourishing sea life.

Favorite ingredient or dish/season:

  • Spring: Squash Blossoms

  • Summer: Huckleberries

  • Fall: Elk

  • Winter: A warm cup of bone broth

Favorite past times/hobbies/activities:
Spending time with my husband and sons skiing, paddle boarding, fishing, camping and playing any kind of sport together as well as traveling to tropical places as a family.
